Wilderness Guided Hike & Jet Boat Expedition

Come join us for a guided wilderness hike in the remote, privately owned, White River Valley. Enjoy a narrated city tour as your motor coach takes you into the wilderness surrounding Ketchikan. Meet your guide at the trailhead and get ready for a journey into the rainforest. After a brief walk through the muskeg you will find yourself meandering along an improved trail that follows White River. Your guide will tell you all about the wonders of the Tongass National Rainforest and help you identify many different types of flora and fauna that inhabit the area. Your hike will take you through areas of old growth and recent clear-cut as you learn about the abundant resources of the Tongass. Keep your eyes open for wildlife as the White River Valley is teeming with animals from eagles and salmon to deer and bear. Your hike ends at the White River Base Camp where you will transfer to an awaiting jet boat for a beautiful nature cruise back to town.
